How to Stop your Addiction for Drugs

Many people that have a drug addiction want to stop but they cant because they are just too used to using them every day. They get into a cycle every day where their whole day is based off of using that drug. Most drug addicts think that when they start using drugs, they can quit whenever they want to. This is almost all of the time never true, they soon begin to form an addiction and they cannot stop using them. This may be partially because they try to stop without using a treatment. Another reason people can't stop is when they try to stop they experience withdrawl from not using them. Withdrawl is a variety of symptoms that occur when a person stops using the addictive drug. Luckily there are a few different methods that a person can stop using their addictive drugs. One way to stop your addiction for drugs is to join some sort of counseling group. Being around others that have the same problem as you do can help you talk it over with them and get over your addiction. There are also some medications that have been designed to help people get over their drug addiction. Even after a person has been treated to stop their drug addiction, they are always at the risk of starting again which is why they need to be careful.

Reason for Starting Drugs

There are many reasons that a person may choose to start drugs. One of the most common reasons people start to use drugs is to escape from their problems. Whether it is something with their relationships, self esteem or if they are just lonely, drugs help them get away from all of their problems. One of the many reason that teenagers are the most common to start using drugs is the fact that their brain and self-control is still developing. Many kids also think that doing drugs is cool and when they see their friends doing them, they want to be cool like them so they start to do drugs too. Some kids think that they are immortal and that nothing can kill them so they see no danger in starting drugs. The reason that many kids start a drug abuse is that when they use a drug once, they need more of it next time to get the same desired effect. The keep doing this and then soon they start to form an abuse with drugs. Some people think that they must use these drugs to deal with their problems so they never try to stop. Or if they try to stop many times and fail, they might have a dependency on the drug.

The Short Term Effects of Drug Abuse

Drug Abuse involves the repeated and excessive use of a prescription or drug. Drugs over stimulate the brain, flooding it with dopamine which creates a sense of pleasure that the brains wants over and over again. Drugs cause increased energy, rapid heart rate and elevated blood pressure. Continued use of drugs causes rapid breathing, irritability, impulsiveness, aggression, nervousness, insomnia, weight loss, tolerance, addiction and a possible heart failure. These drugs can also produce an impairment in your regular functioning such as memory loss or may impair your ability to learn. These effects could lead you to getting kicked out of school which could devestate your future. There are many ways to tell if you have a problem with drugs. Some of them are the continued use of drugs even though they are causing many health problems for you. You may feel annoyed when other people comment on your repeated use of drugs. If your entire day is focused around using drugs you may also have a problem with them. You may also have a problem if you start to miss school or work or you are late to certain things due to your drug use. Lastly if you use drugs alone you may also have a drug problem.
